Accessibility Statement

ACE SIGN DESIGN, INC is committed to making electblinds.com usable by as many people as possible, including visitors who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or reduced-motion settings. We build signage that has to be readable by everyone, and we hold our website to the same standard.

Standard we work to

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive and neurological disabilities.

Measures in place

• A skip link that moves keyboard users straight to the main content;
• Semantic headings, landmarks and form labels so assistive technology can describe the page structure;
• Visible focus outlines on links, buttons and form fields;
• Text alternatives for photographs that carry meaning, and empty alt attributes for decorative images;
• Color combinations chosen for contrast, with information never conveyed by color alone;
• Full support for the operating system setting “reduce motion”, which stops the moving text bands and carousel animation;
• Layouts that reflow down to small screens and remain usable at 200% zoom.

Known limitations

• The process carousel advances automatically; it pauses on hover, on keyboard focus and when the browser tab is hidden, and it can be operated with the step buttons;
• Some archive photographs supplied for reference may carry short alternative text that does not describe every detail of the image;
• Third-party fonts are loaded from an external service; if that service is unavailable, the page falls back to system fonts.

ADA-compliant signage

Accessibility is also part of what we manufacture. We produce tactile signage with Grade 2 braille, correct character height and stroke, non-glare finishes and required mounting heights for restrooms, room identification, egress and parking. If a project needs a code-compliant package, tell us the jurisdiction and we will quote it to that standard.
